FARM SCHOOL

AN IMMERSIVE TEXAS FARM EXPERIENCE

(Yes, these are all real images from the farm.)

OVERVIEW

Farm School is an immersive 3 day experience hosted on the 6th generation Landers Family Farm in Cooper, Texas. Each gathering offers guests chance to connect—to land, to purpose, to oneself—by experiencing life through the eyes of a regenerative farmer.

In a world where technology charges onward, it’s never been more important to engage with the natural world right in front of us. In farming, as with life, we learn that there is often no right answer, simply our ability to connect with intuition and drive forward, even when it means bucking conventional wisdom. The only way you learn how to do this is to roll up your sleeves and experience it yourself.

On the farm, guests experience the flow of farm life: from early mornings out in the fields, to nights spent around the bonfire. Welcome to Texas, we look forward to hosting you.

The Farm

Situated on 2,000 acres in Delta County, Texas, the Landers Family Farm has been a stalwart in the region since the 1880s raising grass-fed cattle and growing row crops such as cotton, sorghum, wheat, soy, and corn. Under Scott’s leadership, the farm is transitioning from conventional farming to regenerative practices, returning to the ways of his forefathers.

THE TEAM

Scott has spent his whole life and career obsessed with water, and, by extension, food (which is mostly water, after all) in various capacities. From starting as a water engineer in Boston, to running a successful restaurant consulting business, Scott traveled the world, only to ultimately return to the family farm as its steward in 2024. Scott brings experience and a passion for creating timeless systems to the farm, where he is returning to the regenerative practices of his great-grandfather’s generation, now integrated with the power of modern technology. His family has been farming in Delta County for nearly 150 years and he’s proud to continue their legacy.

Scott Landers, Farmer

Kristen Barnett, Facilitator

Kristen met Scott when they worked together at Dig Inn, a farm-to-table restaurant chain. In the years following she would go on to start multiple companies as she navigated the hustle of life in NYC. Eventually, she sold a company and shut down the other as she sought a more purpose-driven chapter professionally. In her subsequent explorations, she finally visited Scott’s family farm and it was then that she knew they had to work together to bring more people out to experience the farm.
